What up with cardeo.ca?
Hopefully a few of you may read my web design blog cardeo.ca. If you do, you might be wondering why the hell I’ve been doing about 1 post a month (if I’m lucky) for the past little while? The answer is, I’m moving onto new things. I’ve had a great run with Cardeo but I simply don’t have the time to dedicate to it to make it as awesome as it could be. After 3 years and almost 400 posts, it’s time for me to try something new. Actually to be more accurate something(s) new. I have a few new projects coming down the pipe that I’m excited to launch before the end of the year. There’s just too many stale web design blogs out there, and I’m sorry to say Cardeo has become one of them. It’s time for something different.
If you’ve come to love my minimal WordPress themes, website templates, and all the other freebies I’ve released over the years, don’t worry. I have something new on the horizon which I’m hoping to launch this week. You’ll still have access to all those old files, as well as, some excellent new ones.
One of these new projects is this blog. I’ve been wanting to do a more personal blog for a while now that includes all of my interests, not just web design. I’m hoping you’ll find it interesting and will continue to follow the blog as time goes on. As for the other projects I’ve been working on, here’s a few links to check out:
Snipskee.com
For Code Jedi… (that’s all I’m saying for now)
Recip.ly
This is a web app I’ve been working on with a couple chaps from London. The basic premise is you add recipes to your shopping cart and then Recip.ly helps you order them online and get them delivered to your door. Check out the website for more info.
AnonAnon.org
AnonAnon is a minimal, responsive CSS framework. I recently released it, and I’d love to hear any feedback you guys have on it.
I’ve got a couple other things on the go too, but they aren’t quite ready for primetime yet. Anyhow, Cardeo won’t be going away totally. It was originally founded as my web design company, and it will continue to operate in that manner for the foreseeable future. If you’re in the Vancouver area and need a website, feel free to contact me for a quote. Cardeo.ca will also be transitioned into more of a parent website to house all my crazy ideas.
Finally, for the next month at least, cardeo.ca should remain unchanged. I need to design a new website (and logo I’m thinking) which will take some time. Therefore, you have lots of time to troll through the archives and copy out any tutorials, links, etc… If you’ve been a reader for a week or for a year, I want to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who supported the blog in one way or the other over the years! If you’d like to chat further about the blog, star wars, or guns n’ roses, please feel free to hit me up on Twitter @mlambert. Thanks!
Matt
