New Tallyho Album
I’m getting pretty close to being ready to record a new Tallyho record. The plan for this new record is to record it in my garage at home with found objects. Of course it will include guitar, vocals, and piano… but I’ll be relying on what I can find around my garage for the majority of the percussion on the album. Recycling boxes, paint cans, hammers, here I come.
I’ve got 12 songs planned for the album, of which 10 are pretty much written and ready to go. I started writing 2 new songs today that I’ll have to finish off pretty quick. Today I also finished a new song that has had me stumped for a second verse for awhile. It’s a track about my misadventures in the mexican baja. Anyhow, just wanted to post a little update, hoping to start recording within the next week. Wish me luck

Finding inspiration
It feels like I’ve been waiting a long while now for inspiration to hit me. I’m happy to say that just happened over the last few days. I credit Tim Ferriss’ book The 4-Hour Workweek for giving me the kick in the butt I needed. I’ve been playing around with a few ideas for refocusing Cardeo.ca for almost a year now. However, none of my ideas have really got off the ground. Should it be a blog? My portfolio? a file marketplace? something totally different???
I want to try and save the hard work and maintain the traffic I’ve built up with the blog, while taking it to the next level. Now have a game plan, and I’m breaking it down into small daily goals, which at the end of the day will lead to a huge personal accomplishment. I’ve never been afraid to dream big with Cardeo.ca and what I have planned is my most ambitious version yet of the website. Not everything is totally set in stone yet, but I can confirm the following… The new website will include:
- A shop with premium web and print templates for sale
- Freemium web and print files
- The blog will live on but be mainly focused around code
I sorted out a new logo last night, and I’m going to work on a new colour palette for the Cardeo brand tonight. I’m excited to get this new version off the ground. I’m even more excited to find some inspiration again.
